Salsa Practica – 2024

This weekly class is on hold in MAY 2024. Please see the popup Son Cubano class.

How many hours a week do you practice? A lot of people think that you can learn to salsa by attending a lesson or two each week. Although that’s true, if you put in just a little bit of extra practice during the week, you can increase your results hugely! Progression is all about those small incremental steps forward.

We have a new extra practice time (90 min) to build your learnings from classes. If we have enough people we can run some practice, Ruedas – so encourage your classmates to come along.
This will be guided practice, challenging you to review material covered in class. It will provide a great stepping stone to joining us social dancing on Thursdays. It’s a safe space to experiment and develop your confidence and flow.

We will also cover extra technical details such as understanding and timing in salsa music, strategies to create social dances and a review of the lead and follow technique. Bring your questions to class to help guide the session.

Every Wednesday at 7:30 pm to 9 pm – ON HOLD for May 2024

Legion of Frontiersmen Hall, 165 Elizabeth Street, Tauranga

$10 a class, or you can use your Salsa ¡Agua! concession card.

I thought this image and words from https://www.angelaterris.com/blog/the-problem-with-perfection are very true even in the space of developing your dance. See you soon.
